The Woolshed Events Centre has celebrated its fi rst birthday and our reputation continues
to grow thanks to successful and very memorable events covering food, fashion, music, cook
schools, weddings, even hot air ballooning! Now we begin a new season and look forward to a
second successful and exciting year.
ANTARCTICA.
Saturday 26 September 6pm – 10.30pm
A truly unique event to be attended by leaders of National Antarctic Programmes from around the world. You will hear guest speakers, see a wonderful exhibition of Antarctic photography and painting, and enjoy a three course dinner and wine. Ticket price $130 per

THE WOOLSHED STORE
17 October – Store Opening.
The Woolshed Store will be open six days a week throughout the summer offering 100% New
Zealand made and traceable woollens, wines and specialist products.

Katarina Tawiri is the Curator of the National NZ Flax Collection at Landcare Research. Katarina will teach you to weave using fl ax harvested from the National Collection, and you

HOT AIR BALLOONING
Commencing late October throughout the summer.
Tipapa in conjunction with Up, Up and Away, offer early evening hot air balloon fl ights over
North Canterbury. A post fl ight celebratory dinner at Tipapa can be arranged. All flights are
